There has never been a more star-crossed band in the history of New Orleans than Hot 8. A fact driven home by the tragic passing of Mr Pete a year ago. He was only 45 years old.
Louisiana is home to dozens of the best brass bands on the planet but a special thrill always goes through the crowd on the Sunday second line when Hot 8 shows up to get down.
They are nonpareil.
