It has been nearly a year since we last visited this topic. The Texas food scene is on fire as national media have finally discovered that there is no better state in our glorious union for eating high on the hog. Austin and San Antonio alone have a typical state's worth of great restaurants.

We were late to the Twitter party but once we got our foot in the door, no matter how hard the host slammed and shoulder butted us, we weren't going anywhere.

It's been a long hard slog on this Twitter road we're walking down. Promising Texas food Twitter accounts are hard to come by. Some that shone briefly descended into buffoonery while others that initially showed little promise have turned out to burn brightly.

Should it be whom?

Calvin Trillin said it best. "Whom" was invented to make people sound like English butlers. So we'll stick with who, for now.

We never thought we'd end up on the Twitter. Much like strolling down the "wrong" hallway of a freewheeling, clothing optional Amsterdam nightclub-it just sort of happened.
