If you’re passing through the Treme tomorrow you may happen upon a big street party near St Augustine Church. It’ll be the birthday celebration of Mr Henry Youngblood, a 6th Ward legend who will be forever memorialized via his ‘Big Fat Woman’ cut he sang whilst fronting the Treme Brass Band.

After a dreadfully long summer filled with funerary second lines we finally kicked off the 2019-2020 social aid and pleasure club parade season this past weekend in Central City.
