We’re on a mission.
On Sunday, January 19th, 2020, we’re flying from New Orleans to Austin to throw our biggest food party yet. We’ll be cooking from the landmark Louisiana cookbook: “The Encyclopedia of Cajun and Creole Cuisine” John Folse’s epic tome that has defined the genre for nearly 40 years.
We’re expecting about 200 eaters.
We’ll have a massive kettle of Cajun gumbo, a big cook pot burbling with fresh oil for our Louisiana River Parishes fried catfish, a flaming dessert, a million dollar country ham, fire dancers, frozen daquiris, handmade Brandy Crusta cocktails, and crawfish boudin as a bit of free lagniappe for early-arriving guests.
Hope y’all can come out. It’s the night before the big MLk holiday so plenty of folks will be off work the next day.
