It’s a 12th night party like no other with thousands of devotees of Jeanne d’Arc dressed in medieval costumes, drinking grog from ornate goblets, and partying wildly in the streets.
Dozens of men and women on horseback will be gallivanting about wearing extraordinary costumes, and many of them will be bearing torches. Post up early on a choice piece of sidewalk and don’t budge. This is not like a second line where everything is fluid. The crowd is primarily tourists.
The parade kicks off at 201 Bienville Street at 7pm. Here’s a printable, Google walking map of the route. Hope to see y’all out there.
