Listening to “Rockin’ with Fes” by Roy “Baldhead” Byrd who y’all know as Professor Longhair. This cut dropped in 1952 on the Federal label, and I believe that’s the legend Walter “Papoose” Nelson on guitar. Papoose died criminally young and to this day when his name gets mentioned folks eyes tear up in his old 6th Ward neighborhood.
