Alligator Hunting Season On Public Lands In Louisiana

Adams Fruit Market In Lafourche Parish Louisiana
Do you have $5 and feel lucky?
325 lucky alligator tag lottery winners will set out across nearly 40 public lands this Fall to take down an estimated 850 magnificent (and delicious) gators.
Rules:
You must be a Louisiana resident.
You must be at least 16 years of age.
You must purchase a resident alligator hunting license ($25)
You must pay a set fee per alligator tag issued ($40 per tag)
The harvest of wild and domestic alligators in our great state brings in $57 million annually. Think about what an excellent resource these creatures are for Louisiana.
Remember, when you’re on the hunt, that alligators can run up to 35 mph. A wily, mature gator could easily overtake Usain Bolt, the fastest human on earth. Bolt can barely run 27 mph for a short burst. I’d pay to see Bolt vs a Louisiana gator in a Wide World of Sports-style footrace with Jim McKay on commentary.
