Ms. Madison King Of St John The Baptist Parish Is Our 2016 Louisiana Queen Of Queens.

We rolled out to LaPlace last Fall for the big Andouille Festival and were fortunate to meet the queen of the festival, Madison King. She was sweet as sugar candy and the festival was on fire with food booths and rock and roll bands not to mention thousands of Cajuns doing what they do best: partying, eating foot-long sticks of sausage and washing them down with cups of cold beer.

An ad hoc cracklins booth (T-Nate’s LLC) threw extra fuel on the fire.

We had the time of our lives.

Last week we rolled out to Vacherie on an andouille run and during the research run-up to the daytrip discovered that Ms. King was crowned 2016 Queen of Queens by the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals.

This is no small feat as Ms. King defeated 69 other queens who were enjoying reigning over festivals like Beauregard Watermelon, Louisiana Cattle, and Louisiana Fur and Wildlife.

King must have been full of moxie as it’s no secret Louisiana is home to the most beautiful women on earth.

Congratulations Madison King, may your reign be a peaceful one.
