Marcelle Bienvenu is one of our food writing heroes and her departure from the Times Picayune filled us with grief.

We all got real excited when Ms Bienvenu popped up in our news stream yesterday. The good cook was interviewed by Vickie Branton of The New Iberian and during the course of the article Bienvenu explained the difference between Creole and Cajun cuisine.
