On This Day In 2008: Bacon Wrapped Pork Sausage At Lavastein Grill In Vienna
When you take the train from Bratislava, Slovakia to Vienna, Austria you’re unceremoniously dumped on the outskirts of town with not so much as a kiss my ass from the conductor.
Time to hike.
By the time I was deep inside Vienna I was absolutely starving and resolved myself to eating at the nearest restaurant that had bacon on the menu. I was hungry but not willing to settle for a bacon-free environment, and the Austrians are known for their love of pork.
The Lavastein Grill not only featured bacon but the cook had seen fit to twirl it round and round plump pork sausage links before tossing the entire affair on a grill.
