With Dario’s shuttering their East 6th Street location over the weekend, the East 6th Street corridor, formerly the home of acres of old school Mexican joints, now hosts only two: Tamale House East and Cisco’s. Dario’s was the home of one of the finest plates of green enchiladas in the entire town of Austin. They also held some booming late night dance parties over the past couple years. If you needed to watch Mexican girls in skin tight dresses working it out on the dance floor in high rise high heels, Dario’s was about as good as it got.
Their South Austin location remains open.
