One of the most anticipated beer releases of this sweltering Austin summer is set to go down Friday July 26th at Red 7. Blanco, Texas’ Real Ale and metal band The Sword will help Red 7 celebrate their 7th anniversary with a concert and the debut of Iron Swan, the newest beverage from the vats of head brewer Erik Ogershok. American Sharks open the set.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 7 years since Red 7 came on the scene in the former Boom Boom Room portion of the ill-fated Spiros Latin nightclub.

LaGrange rappers Brandon Bruce “Big Hutch” Hutchison and LaBaaron Demon “Li’l Hutch” Hutchison drew TABC attention to Spiros when they shot the room up way back in 2009 after showing up late for their gig and being informed that they would not be allowed to play.

8 people caught lead and Spiros promoter Ramone Stewart was stabbed.

Rough party. Frank Hendrix of Emos had the best quote of the night “This is Austin. You just don’t get that many people shot.”

Brandon Hutchison was convicted of eight counts of aggravated assault and sentenced to imprisonment for two terms of twenty years, one term of ten years, one term of seven years, two terms of four years, and two terms of two years.

Brother LaBaaron was sentenced to twenty years.

Spiros was shuttered.
