I just glanced at my admin page and noted that today {July 31st 2012} marks day one thousand since this experiment, the Scrumptious Chef food blog, began.

It’s been a wild ride.

I didn’t even write the first article that ever appeared on the site. That honor goes to my administrator who authored a tale of a meal I cooked for him and his family in Cincinnati Ohio years back. http://www.scrumptiouschef.com/food/2009/11/4/Scrumptious-Chef-Visit
it’s still the most popular article ever posted in this forum. That stings. The original focus of the Scrumptious Chef blog was recipes and they’re still the long term driver, as far as page views go, of the site. Evergreen content like a well researched recipe never gets old, unlike much of the topical news that I cover daily.

And I do write daily. I read lots of other Austin blogs and note that many have perhaps one new article per week or month. Balderdash! That ain’t blogging that’s slogging and I’ll have none of it. The only way to maintain interest in your readership is to constantly author worthwhile articles.

Here at Scrumptious Chef HQ in East Austin we flow like rivers.

It’s important.

Here are a handful of hotlinks to archival pieces I authored that I’m still pretty proud of. Enjoy.
