Addie Broyles over at The Statesman is reporting that Teresa Wilson has sold the property that was the site of Aquarelle, the French restaurant that had a decade plus run in Austin.
We wrote an obituary for Aquarelle in August here http://www.scrumptiouschef.com/food/2011/8/11/RIP-Aquarelle-Tony-French-Mainstay-Set-For-Reinvention-As-Chonitas but were happy to see Wilson staying in the industry with a new project; Chonitas. West 6th Street is on fire with multiple new projects and freshly opened bars and restaurants so we have no doubt that the former Aquarelle will be reopened soon enough with a fresh concept.
We’re still hopeful that Teresa Wilson will step back into the game in the future.
