Mr. G Hamburgers Etc is a tiny food stand inside Hays County Civic Center down in San Marcos, Texas. We were in town to cover the LULAC State Barbecue Championship and walking off the 5 or so pounds of meat we’d ingested during the finale when we spotted the business.

Just out of the viewfinder was a lowrider competition, a hip hop concert and a BMX bicycle showdown. It was about as wild and wooly as San Marcos is ever likely to get.
