Bad timing so far.
When we got wind of a chef from Istanbul operating a tiny storefront in north Austin our noses got opened good and wide. We’ve been on an Istanbul tangent these past few years and as of yesterday have knocked out 15 chapters on a book concerning eating under the radar in that glorious city.
But our timing’s been off on actually getting inside the cafe to eat. We rolled up to north Austin on Sunday morning to see if we could avail ourselves of the classic Turkish breakfast but the shop was shut up good and tight.
We’ll give it another shot soon and report back.
