We’ve been holding out for Austin mayor Lee Leffingwell to declare one of these old days to be Scrumptiouschef Day but for now we’ll settle for Chef Andrew Curren Day, November 30th 2011, as declared by our town’s ruler. We’ve all been waiting and waiting and waiting for the opening of Easy Tiger as we reckon it will be a new and major player in the Austin restaurant scene. With a design from the heavens by Veronica Koltuniak of http://www.verokolt.com/ and bread from Austin’s reigning king of flour and water; David Norman, we can hardly wait to take the hike from our headquarters down the Waller Creek watershed to the patio of the long anticipated beer garden/sausage house/bakery.

Congratulations Chef Andrew Curren. Though your time spent on Top Chef Texas was brief we still have many, misty water colored memories of your performance [s].

There will be a raucous party at 24 Diner today lasting all day and all night long so get by there and fete this man.
