We have a deep love for Jane and Michael Stern. The authors of some of our favorite books detailing eating under the radar in the United States have been at it since the 1970s.

They were rolling down the backroads of rural America looking for fried catfish cabins and cinder block barbecue joints when most of us were still in diapers.

And they have a public forum where posters are encouraged to share these experiences.

Scrumptiouschef has been on their site for years and it’s where we’ve found some of the best food we’ve ever eaten.

Join our team over that way as we’re looking to build value on their site with a flood of Austin eaters sharing their knowledge of our town’s best eats.

It’s free, it’s fun and we’ll be amping up our coverage of Austin’s best barbecue, banh mi, burgers, Thai, pho, Tex Mex and soul food.

We’d love to visit with you over that way and you’ll be amazed at what a vital, inclusive resource they’ve built.
