Sometimes you’re a million miles from home and you need hand crafted sausage on par with the finest of the Central Texas Hot Guts parlors. Thankfully there are a handful of meat houses in the United States that can put out a product on par with Taylor, Elgin and Lockhart. One of them being Terranova Brothers Superette over in New Orleans. The Terranova family has been putting out world class, handmade sausage in the Faubourg St. John neighborhood since 1925.

Whenever we visit New Orleans [4-6 times per year] we always drop in and grab a few pounds plus a big block of head cheese.
