Paying a bunch of money for Mexican food always gets us out of sorts. It’s like going to a high dollar Chinese restaurant. There’s something wrong with the equation. While the $20 stuffed chile pepper was pretty good, at the end of the day it was a Poblano that cost about a quarter with a dollars worth of crawfish and a nickel’s worth of rice.
There’s just no value here.
All that being said, if someone comes in from out of town and wants some high faluting Mexican this is where we go. The atmosphere is nice and the drinks are strong but when we stuck our nose in the kitchen the Sysco marque was all over the sundries.
Not a good sign in the supposed world of fine dining.
