For a certain breed of eater, Angie’s represents the pinnacle of carnitas dining in Austin. Unfortunately, they’re not that good.
We want to like Angie’s. They do a few things very well. The chips and salsa are quite good as are the refried beans.
But with Four Seasons pricing in effect we expect the quality to be top tier across the menu.
We reckon they must have lost something in the move as when they were bound to their former cottage home we loved the joint. But they got fat and sassy, moved into a freshly built hacienda and the soulfulness evaporated.
