UPDATE: THIS IS THE BRAND NEW LOCATION FOR AUSTIN LEGEND TAMALE HOUSE!
Fine dining is making inroads into East Austin Texas. Across the parking lot from the old Cafe Mundi [and current tenant Yellowjacket ] sits Graze inside, we believe, the old Mexico Tipico room. Graze’s menu certainly has our mouth watering with all the beef, crabcakes and grits you could ever dream of.
They’ve wisely included a few vegetarian options as it appears as though those folks have rooted themselves into Central Texas and aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Pricing is on the high side which is to be expected when your menu runs towards meat and seafood. The only untoward item is a ten dollar wedge that mysteriously doesn’t include bleu cheese. We love Ranch dressing but when we tackle a wedge with our steak we better have some hunks of Pure Luck Bleu hovering somewhere about the plate.
