Tony Abou-Ganim, Winner of Iron Chef – mixologist and Tito Beveridge, Founder of Tito’s Handmade Vodka are set to barnstorm the state of Texas August 29, 30th and 31st.
The duo will be talking up cocktail culture in the Great State from days of yore as well as what’s happening in the insurgent booze culture that’s gripped Texas of late. Are you a member of the United States Bartender’s Guild?
If so, you will be privy to a meetup prior to each event where Tito’s based cocktails will be imbibed along with food from each participating venue.
Here’s hoping Abou Ganim will be wielding a heavy hand on those pre-lecture pours so the talking will be good and boozy.
In Austin the event will be held at Peche on 4th St in the warehouse district on Monday August 29th 2011 at 5pm.
We all know who Tito is but how about Tony Abou Ganim?
He’s a pretty interesting character in his own right. We picked up a couple interesting facts about him over on the food network site including that in the past he’s enjoyed pig knuckles in chocolate sauce and that he dreams of being a pro surfer.
Sounds like a fun get together.
We’d love to hear from anybody who’s planning on attending or filing a report on the affair.
