Austin Daily Photo: Taqueria Las Rosas
I can still be amazed at the most humble of restaurants; the taco cart.
Unfortunately in this instance, amazed that Taqueria Las Rosas even bothered entering the crowded and hyper competitive field while offering so little.
Tortilla: Ordered corn, got flour, from a bag.
Filling: Barbacoa, possibly the smallest portion on a taco I’ve ever received.
Price: $2, for a tiny, uninspired taco.
The green salsa was the highlight of the meal. It’s the creamy, hot style made popular around town by all the Pollo Carbon carts that are taking over.
Otherwise, very little reason to return to Taqueria Las Rosas.
