With little else to interest us on a Friday night we hop on our bikes and motor over to visit Randall Stockton’s new eatery: Live Oak Barbecue and Beer.

The beer part will have to wait as I reckon all the paperwork isn’t in order, so we content ourselves with a pair of Big Reds, a pound of brisket and a sausage link. While Edgar Black has nothing to fear [and when has he?] everything is of good enough quality to certainly warrant a repeat visit or two.

I can easily picture whiling away a summers eve on one of the big decks drinking a cold Live Oak Pilz and eating off a pile of smoked meat.
