Randall Stockton saw the future and it was East Sixth Street.
The east side of I-35 was not always a nightclub haven for white folks. It used to be home to some fairly low key Tejano bars and nightclubs. The wildly popular Shangri-La is a good spot for a tipple or two on a non-weekend night. Come the weekend however and all Hell breaks loose as the bar regularly goes to capacity with the scene evoking a London of the late 60’s with loud soul and garage dance parties.
