It’s easy to get lost in the restaurant shuffle in New Orleans. While The Praline Connection would be greeted with mob crowds and pronouncements of greatness in Iowa or New Mexico most New Orleanians view the restaurant with a shrug.
I’ve eaten here a few times over the years. They put out a respectable meat and 3, the po boys are oversized and stuffed with plentiful shrimp and/or oysters and the gumbo is a decent version.
The best part of the joint is the waitstaff. If you get the right waitron you might get a little soft shoe to go with your meal. One gal is so animated I expect her to start knocking tables over as she hustles for her tips.
