Well, the time is almost upon us. Barley Swine is preparing to start serving the public out of the old Pie Slice restaurant in South Austin.
One can expect lots of grits, Texas quail, local cheeses, an affinity for eggs, seasonal green vegetables and a painstaking attention to micro brews.
I’m champing at the bit. Odd Duck Farm to Trailer put the most memorable Austin meals in front of me this year so it’s going to be interesting to see what Chef has up his sleeve now that he’s gone brick and mortar.
I really hope he doesn’t neglect the dessert part of the menu. It was the only thing lacking from his trailer [probably due to the wretched Gordough’s proximity more than anything else].
